ATI’s Ellen Shanley on the association of lower extremity musculoskeletal injury with concussion

Podcast with Ellen Shanley, PHD, PT, OCS of ATI Physical Therapy joining Steve and Dr. Cole to discuss a recent study conducted at ATI on the association of lower extremity musculoskeletal injury with concussion in high school athletes.

Recent work has suggested that suffering a lower extremity injury may increase an athletes risk of having a concussion within 3-4 months of the incident lower extremity injury. Dr. Shanley discusses these findings, as well as risk factors by gender and sport.
