Dr. Mjaanes is?Assistant Professor, Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Pediatrics, Rush University Medical Center and?Director, Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic at Rush.?A medical graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Mjaanes completed his residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. During his residency, he was awarded the Aesculapius Award for his work in patient care and resident teaching. Dr. Mjaanes went on to complete a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at?Advocate Lutheran General Hospital?in Park Ridge. He is board certified in Pediatrics and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Primary Care Sports Medicine. In practice, he sees patients of all ages, including children and adolescents. He also works with adult athletes of all ages, from young adults to seniors, recreational and elite, including high-level college and professional athletes.

Nate?received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to pursuing a career in physical therapy, Whitney attended Illinois State University where he majored in exercise science and played baseball for the Redbirds. In 2004, and?got the opportunity to play minor league baseball for the San Diego Padres.?
